About Us
North American Downhill Series (aka NADS) is the first citizens' speed event series in North America. The races are open to anyone who wants to see just how fast they can go on a pair of skis. The league, formerly known as the Big Speed Downhill Series, was started over 20 years ago by a couple of guys, who just like you, wanted to know just really how fast they were really able to go before the hair on their neck would stand up. NADS has been featured in several ski publications. In addition to being on a timed course, the NADS owns a calibrated radar gun. It is placed at the fastest part of every course, so you know exactly how fast you were going. The races are fun, safe and nothing short of exciting! We look forward to seeing you at one or more of our events this season!
